AmCham Localizes Basic IPR Curriculum for Kids May 23, 2013

In response to an initiative of its IPR Committee, AmCham recently translated and adapted two World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) publications targeting 9-14 year olds entitled, “Learn from the Past, Create the Future: Inventions and Patents” and “Learn from the Past, Create the Future: The Arts and Copyright” into both Macedonian and Albanian. AmCham plans several activities later this year to encourage the use of these publications by grade school teachers to introduce IPR concepts and to raise awareness as part of their existing educational programs. The adaptation of these high quality educational materials was financially supported by a U.S. Embassy grant and with the support of the State Office of Industrial Property.
