ProCredit Bank on 25 October, this year, organized fifth Banking school for journalists, held at the ProCredit Regional Academy for Eastern Europe, Lake Mladost in Veles. The journalists had the opportunity through presentations and open discussions to follow up topics about responsible banking from several aspects, held by representatives from National Bank of Macedonia, EFSE (European Fund for Southeastern Europe), a management board member from ProCredit Bank and the Manager of Regional ProCredit Academy.
Presentations were held by the following experts: Dimitar Jovanovski, representative from National Bank, regarding the role of the National Bank in the country and the importance of responsible banking for Macedonian citizens, Dragan Spirovski, representative from EFSE (European Fund for Southeastern Europe), on the topic of risks from lending in foreign currency, Victorija Mitreska, the Manager of the Regional ProCredit Academy, regarding the possibilities of investments of the extra liquidity of the banks and Metodija Minovski, representative from ProCredit Bank, who spoke about the benefits of the Eco Loans and its impacts on the households, businesses and the society.
ProCredit Bank organizes the Banking school for journalist, as part of its strategic orientation for better financial education for the public, as well as the raising awareness on the importance of responsible and transparent banking.
The 5th Banking School was attended by 25 journalists from national media in the country. Until now, more than 100 journalist attended Banking school for journalists, which every year different topics from the field of finance and banking are covered, whose impact on the commitment consider from micro and macro perspective, concerning influence of responsible banking to companies, citizens and whole economy, with the aim of deeper knowledge of responsible banking, transparent lending and consumer protection in the country.
