Pivara Skopje AD has won this year’s National Award for best practice in the field of occupational health and safety. It is awarded by the Macedonian Occupational Safety and Health Association and the International Labor Organization in celebration of April 28 – World Day for Health and Safety at Work.
“Pivara Skopje is a great example and also an incentive for the whole industry on how to think about and act upon the protection of health and safety at work. Precisely in the area of managing health and safety at work, Pivara Skopje is a kind of pioneer in Macedonia and an example of excellent practice in the domestic beverage industry. The company is among the first in Macedonia which as early as 2007 introduced and was successfully certified by the leading international standard for management of occupational safety and health – OHSAS 18001. To maintain a healthy and safe work environment, in addition to respecting the established procedures and rule, Pivara Skopje organizes various activities, trainings, presentations and drills throughout the year through which all employees acquire and update their knowledge of this very important segment.

This project is aimed at pupils in fourth grade and will encompass presentations and materials on topics of particular importance to the health and development of children in terms of proper sitting in school desks, writing and working on the computer, as well as safe behavior in the school environment.
