ProCredit Bank Macedonia’s Rating Upgraded July 3, 2014

procreditIn 2014, the international credit rating agency Fitch Ratings has upgraded ProCredit Bank Macedonia’s long-term issuer default rating from ‘BB+’ to ‘BBB-’.

This upgrade follows an upgrade of the parent company, ProCredit Holding, based in Frankfurt, Germany, which is the main shareholder of ProCredit Bank Macedonia.  The rating takes into consideration the degree of support which the bank can expect to receive from its majority owner, the integration of the bank in the ProCredit group, and the proven ability of ProCredit Holding to provide timely capital and liquidity support, all of which contributes to ProCredit Bank Macedonia’s positive results.

Since 2005, Fitch Ratings has regularly awarded ProCredit Bank a BB+ rating, which is the highest credit rating that any financial institution in Macedonia can receive.
