Eurostandard Bank AD Skopje has announced it has officially merged with the Postal Bank AD Skopje, starting from July 1st, 2014.
This merger, will position Eurostandard Bank on medium level on Macedonia’s bank market, opening new and larger possibilities for Bank’s growth and development, for strengthening of its potential and financial performances, portfolio and client base expansion and further increase of the market share.
According to the special agreement with the Public Enterprise “Macedonian Posts”, former owner of the Postal Bank, Eurostandard Bank shall be entitled to use the wide network of Posts’ business units, thereby providing wider coverage of Bank services at the territory of the entire country, as well as introduction of new banking services, in addition to the existing ones – better coverage with ATM’s, foreign payment operations, fast money transfer, payment cards from the program of Diners and MasterCard, etc. The Merging Agreement between the Eurostandard Bank AD Skopje and Postal Bank AD Skopje entered into force on April 28th 2014.
Eurostandard Bank AD Skopje which previously owned 2/3 of the capital in the Postal Bank AD Skopje, has additionally purchased the remaining shares of the Government for EUR 4,4 million. Main shareholders shall be the both entities – Gofi Group of Finance and Investment SA- Melide and E.H.H. Eastern Hemipshere Holding SA- Melide.
