For the first time in Macedonia a Social Impact Award is organized, which is already present in 12 European countries with support from Foundation ERSTE and Impact Hub Vienna. In Macedonia the Social Impact Award is organized by Mladi Info, supported by Sparkasse Bank.
From 27.01.2015 until April, the interested students and young people from Macedonia can apply for the Award for Social Entrepreneurship (Social Impact Award 2015) with their own business idea, through the website www.socialimpactaward.mk. The prize will be awarded for the first time in Macedonia.
After the final deadline a process of pre-selection will follow, during which an 11-member jury composed of experts of which one from abroad will select the finalists after which the winners will be announced. For the best three business ideas in the area of social entrepreneurship Sparkasse Bank Makedonjia has ensured financial awards in the amount of EUR 3.000, EUR 2.000 and EUR 1.000. Apart from the awards they will receive three months period of incubation with mentoring and support in order to develop the idea, as well as a free trip to Vienna.
“For Sparkasse Bank the Award for Social Entrepreneurship is another way of expressing our support for the talented young people. Through this project, they will have a great opportunity to present their business ideas and innovative solutions that have a social impact and that in the long run can enable them to open up their own businesses. I am particularly pleased that the project starts to be implemented in Macedonia too and our bank and Erste Foundation will be long-term partners of this ambitious project aimed at the young people, which provides them with the opportunity to create their own professional future and to become part of the European network of young innovators,” said Ivana Makenadzieva from the Communications and Marketing Department of Sparkasse Bank Makedonija.Category: Member News
