EVN Macedonia promoted the second edition of short stories as part of the project “Create a Book”. The new collection includes short stories written by famous Macedonian authors, as well as works from young aspiring authors. Readers will meet with the literary works of Vladimir Martinovski, Ermis Lafazanovski, Lira Bojku, Simona Jovanoska and Verce Karafiloska. Through “Create a Book” EVN Macedonia creates books from the paper saved by customers that applied to receive their invoices via e-mail instead of printed.
The promotion of the new collection took place in a new reading room in the primary school “Blaze Koneski”. The reading room is a donation from EVN Macedonia, and it is the beginning of a more comprehensive project for stimulating the reading habits of the young population. The project will be carried out in cooperation with the association for research, communications and development “Public”.
It is planned to use this space for educational workshops, carried out through modern methods incorporating the individual needs of the children. The goal is to bring the books closer to the children in a tailored way, appropriate for each individual child.
In the next month, two more reading rooms will be built in Struga and Bitola. The reading rooms are based on the long term research by the company “Steelcase”, the world leader in creation of modern school spaces.
As a part of the campaign, a contest for the best “April’s day” mask inspired by a character from children’s books was announced, celebrating the “Worlds day of children’s book”. For the best and the most creative contestants EVN will provide awards.Category: Member News
