One of the latest recognition is the gold medal for TEN BARRELS SYRAH RESERVA 2012 which comes from the reputable Syrah du Monde®2015. Syrah du Monde® is the only wine competition in the world which takes only Syrah/Shiraz wines. This world-renowned wine event was organized by the Forum Œnologie and took place in Ampuis, France, May 20-22 this year. The competition, with its 418 wineries from 26 countries has the dimensions of one of the globally most important events for the Syrah/Shiraz wines. Furthermore, TEN BARRELS SYRAH RESERVA 2012 was ranked third on the list of TOP 10 BEST Syrah 2015, which has placed Macedonia, together with Australia, France, South Africa, Portugal and Canada, among the 6 countries with best Syrah wines.
Syrah du Monde® is described as a serious wine competition that stands out with its standards of quality, which are stricter than the norms, and for maintaining its founding principles: diversity, quality and high standards. Syrah du Monde®2015 gives its specific description for TEN BARRELS SYRAH RESERVA 2012 as a wine whose aroma reveals strawberry jam and spicy notes, has a rich taste and good balance.
TEN BARRELS SYRAH RESERVA 2012 is produced from grapes from the Kamnik Winery own vineyards. Its uniqueness is created through the the double yield reduction method resulting in a partial dehydration of the grapes of the vine. The splendor of the taste and aromas of this wine result from the 25-month ageing in new American and French oak barriques.
MERLOT SIGNATURE 2012 GRAND RESERVA is another wine making May an excellent month for the Kamnik Winery. Apart from winning the Champion Trophy at GAST 2015 in Croatia in March, this powerful red wine won a gold medal at VINO LjUBLjANA 2015 in Slovenia in May.
