“Tikveš” Premium Wines Won 46 Awards on Most Significant Wine Competitions June 30, 2015

Tikves1 (300x200)In exceptionally extensive and resilient competition of wines from all over the world, the premium wines of “Tikveš” and “Domaine Lepovo” won 46 diverse medals and recognitions at the most massive and reputable global wine events, which have been, in the first half of the year, held in France, Germany, United Kingdom, Belgium, Canada, China (Hong Kong), as well as in the region, i.e. Slovenia, Romania and Bulgaria.

The majority of awarded wines from the premium segment of ‘Tikveš” came from vintage 2014 which, according to expert opinions, was among the hardest, due to the unfavorable weather conditions that affected the quality of grapes the world over. The accomplishment is even greater considering the fact that the competition comprised wines from older vintages, produced in years when the weather conditions were far more advantageous for the quality of grapes and wines. This clearly indicates that “Tikveš” possesses state-of-the-art technology, expertise and knowledge in viniculture and manufacturing of extraordinary wines with high value.

“Winning such a great number of awards at competitions involving all players of significance in the wine industry means that you truly have wines that deserve to be distinguished with their quality and uniqueness on a global scale. Such success of our wines strengthens our efforts to increase the export of bottled wine to the most important world markets and simultaneously contributes to the enhancement of the reputation of the overall Macedonian wine industry, which is one of our strategic goals”, explained the General Manager of Tikveš Winery, Igor Ilievski.

Although all recognitions won at renowned world wine competitions are exceptionally valuable for the reputation and placement of our wines, we avail ourselves to highlight the 13 gold medals awarded to “Tikveš” premium wines: “Domaine Lepovo Pinot Noir” 2013, which was declared “The best wine at the competition with origin from Macedonia” at the world competition “Mundus Vini” in Germany; “Rosé Classic” 2014, awarded at the competition “Mondial du Rosé” in France; “Alexandria Cuvée (Rosé)” 2014 and red wine “Alexandria Cuvée” 2013, won at the competition “Concours Mondial” in Belgium; “Grenache Blanc Special Selection” 2014 and “Alexandria Cuvée (Red)” 2013, presented at the competition “Les Citadelles du Vin” in France; “Vranec Special Selection” 2013 and “Alexandria Cuvée (Red)” 2013, won at the competition “Vino Ljubljana” in Slovenia; “Vranec Special Selection” 2013 at the competition “Sélections mondiales des Vins” in Canada; “Alexandria Cuvée (Red)” 2013 and “Alexandria Cuvée (White)” 2014 granted at BWIC 2015 held in Bulgaria, and the gold medals for “Temjanika Special Selection” 2014 and “Vranec Special Selection” 2013 awarded at the competition International Wine Contest held in Bucharest, Romania.
