Kamnik Winery with 3 International Recognitions for Ten Barrels Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva 2011 July 23, 2015

Kamnik_Ten Barrels Cabernet Sauvignon 2011Ten Barrels Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva 2011, a premium red wine produced from the Cabernet Sauvignon variety, marked the first half of 2015 for the Kamnik winery with three highly prized international recognitions.

Two recognitions for this wine arrived from Netanya, Israel in February this year. It is the prestigious Double Gold Medal and the Grand International Champion Trophy that this wine won at ТerraVino 2015 Mediterranean International Wine & Spirit Challenge, Israel – one of Israel’s main annual international competitions. This wine competition was organized under the patronage of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV), with wine samples from 29 countries from around the world, evaluated by an international team of experienced wine judges.

The end of May 2015 introduced the third recognition for Ten Barrels Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva 2011, a gold medal from the Romanian International Wine Contest Bucharest 2015, organized also under the patronage of the OIV. This competition received wine entries from 27 countries worldwide, with judges from Switzerland, Israel, Moldova, Italy, Russia, Serbia, Australia, Austria, Poland, Portugal, France and the USA.

Ten Barrels Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva 2011 it is a genuine reserva wine with a recognizable, ripe and abundant nose with fruity and spicy character. This wine unveils berries combined with liquorice, dark chocolate and roasted mint complemented with vanilla and spicy tones. The taste is full-bodied, harmonic, with a solid structure, impressive and strong tannins and with a long and pleasant aftertaste.

The uniqueness of this wine comes from the ageing process of 31 months in new American and French oak barriques.  Another remarkable feature of Ten Barrels Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva 2011 is its excellent bottle ageing capacity.
