On Friday, October 30th, Emilija Zaevska, Digital Communications Manager at McCann Skopje held one-hour learning session on “New trends in digital marketing”. Over 25 representatives from member companies showed interest to learn more in which digital marketing areas to focus in the upcoming period.
At the opening, Ms. Zaevska gave short intro on Wave 8, one of the biggest research studies in the world on social media, in which McCann is taking active part. She pointed out that this study is useful for companies to increase their communication with consumers and shared the findings about Macedonia for 2014, regarding usage of internet, online activities and social media presence.
In her presentation, she also included 2016 projections on digital media trends in Macedonia highlighting that domestic companies should focus more on mobile applications and videos, that can be distributed through Instagram, Dubsmash, Snapchat, InstaVid, social media mostly used by younger population and Facebook, for older customers. Also, brand ambassadors can be used for faster and simple product promotion and creation of specific content that can be promoted through social media targeting particular group of consumers.
