Makedonski Telekom launched a new project – Smart Classrooms, where the education process is facilitated using smart technologies. The project is a partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Information Society and Administration. With the new pilot project, two smart classrooms in the high schools “D-r Pance Karagjozov” and “Zef Ljus Marku” were opened.
With this pilot project, the teachers and the students that are part of the educational process will witness the application of the new technologies in a new interactive experience for acquiring knowledge about the new material.
“Our company, as technology leader in the country is committed in bringing new technologies close and available to the people and society. This project is a good example in this direction. Today’s students live digitally and need adequate tools for acquiring knowledge and communication in order to face the modern challenges. Smart classrooms are intented to become their natural environment to study and acquire knowledge.” – said Andreas Maierhofer, CEO of Makedonski Telekom.
Smart Classrooms are based on advanced software and “cloud” solution for easier interactive communication between the students and the teachers, but also for distance learning. The interactive whiteboards and tablets will contribute to greater interaction in the classroom, easier monitoring of students’ development, easier adjustment of school curricula and improvement of the efficiency of school administration. This pilot project builds on the Strategy of Makedonski Telekom to introduce “smart” solutions in the everyday life of the citizens and digitization of the society.Category: Member News
