Stopanska Banka AD Bitola supported the EU-funded project “Smart Start – Sustainable Impact of Civil Society through Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation” in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey.
The bank enters this project with enormous enthusiasm. Their goal is to improve the concept of social entrepreneurship and with the support of social enterprises, they wish to reach their goal by enabling the community to decide where and from whom they procure goods and services, with having in mind the social impact of those consumer decisions.
Social enterprises face specific challenges – to make the customer happy and at the same time to satisfy and work for the social community and social goals, protecting the environment or finding a solution to a general social problem. This project should be percieved as a win-win situation. On one hand, social enterprises will acquire the necessary skills needed for effective management of their business, and on the other hand, the bank creates success stories for the community.
The mentoring support that we give to one of the social enterprises of this project, made us part of the group of ten established Macedonian companies that were given the “Good Brands” award.Category: Member News
