A group of volunteers of EVN Macedonia worked on the arrangement and looks of the garden of the regional center for people with intellectual disability – „Poraka Nasha” in Kumanovo.
This marked the beginning of the new project “EVN Volunteers” which represents a series of periodical activities that will include all the employees who are willing to volunteer, all over the country.
Today, the volunteers dedicated their working hours to horticultural arrangements, coloring of the fence and cleaning of the yard of the regional center – Poraka Nasha. Mr. Stefan Peter, Chairman of the Management Board of EVN Macedonia and Mr. Robert Simonoski President of the Syndicate Organization of the company also took part in the activities.
„I am very glad to announce the beginning of the new EVN project “EVN Volunteers”. We are bringing the corporate social responsibility to a whole new level, for the purpose of raising awareness among companies, institutions and even individuals” said Mr. Stefan Peter, Chairman of the Management Board of EVN Macedonia. „We must work until we reach the level of consciousness that will help us understand that financial help is important, but there are some things that need to be done by the human hand. Supporting each-other and being there for someone gives hope and is a lifetime lesson and kindness“ added Mr. Peter.
The activities of the volunteers will not stop here and today, instead, they will continue in the future in many regions and cities of the country.
In the past 10 years, EVN Macedonia proved that the Corporate Social Responsibility is set as one of the main and long-term goals of the company. The commitment and success in this field were recognized by the community.
