To mark the National Day of Service and Remembrance, U.S. Embassy will be hosting a blood, food and clothing event in collaboration with the Red Cross of the City of Skopje and the Institute of Transfusion Medicine, on September 12th from 09:00 to 16:00.
The goal of the event is to bring together people from all communities, regardless of their political or religious beliefs, to focus on a common cause. Our efforts will help the Red Cross to replenish blood supplies and provide families in need with food and other necessities for the winter months ahead.
Donating blood take less than 20 minutes from start to finish, including registration, a brief medical check/questionnaire from the Red Cross medical staff, and the blood donation. Afterwards, enjoy a snack and a drink from our juice bar.
Blood donors will be welcomed at the U.S. Embassy from 09:00 to 16:00. They must be between 18 and 65 years of age, and must have resided in Macedonia
for at least six months. Donors cannot have donated blood in the last four months for women, or three months for men.
