In the wake of the new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which will be implemented starting in May 25 2018, the American Chamber of Commerce in Macedonia organized two informative sessions for its member companies. The first event was an introduction to the general regulation for the protection of personal data (GDPR), and the second covered the technical aspects of the implementation.
In the third continuation of this series of events, we will focus on the comparison between the GDPR and the existing Law on Personal Data Protection (LPDP) in the Republic of Macedonia, as well as give an overview of the elements of the new draft LPDP. Our goal is to help local companies in clarifying which regulation they should follow when processing EU citizens’ data.
We invited representatives from the Directorate for Personal Data Protection, so they can familiarize us with the Government’s efforts to protect personal data and to answer any questions our members might have, thus helping Macedonian companies to embark on the road towards harmonization with European regulations and preparation for the new Macedonian legislation.
The workshop will be held on Thursday, April 12, at 10 am. The venue will be announced shortly.
Register via 3216 714 or firstname.lastname@example.org by Tuesday, April 10.
This info session is for AmCham member companies only.Category: Events
