DHL Macedonia celebrated 25 years of operations in Macedonia by presenting its successes and accomplishments so far, as well as their global strategy for sustainable working, globally and in the country. The company is a leader in the fast shipping and logistics market in Macedonia, with dominant market share in the field of courier transport, providing daily support to over 4000 companies and institutions in the country in their international communication. As a socially responsible company, DHL globally and locally concentrates on environmental protection (GoGreen), GoHelp, GoTeach, and Volunteer Support. Through the GoGreen Environmental Protection Program, DHL Group defined a new global goal: zero emission of harmful emissions by 2050.
“Sustainability has long become one of the most important issues of our time. Our contribution to greater sustainability around the world is green logistics. In order to achieve a more sustainable future, it is important to think wider and visionary. Our new mission to respond to climate change is to reduce logistics emissions to zero by 2050, and DHL Macedonia is preparing to meet the set goals, “said Radoslav Nanovik, DHL Macedonia General Manager.
To succeed in achieving this vision of logistics, DHL has established a number of ambitious time goals across the main action areas of their sustainability strategy. By 2025, 70% of acquisitions and deliveries will be made by DHL with electric or low polluting vehicles and bicycles. As part of its environmental strategy, DHL will educate and certify 80% of its employees, including in its GoGreen business solutions. It will, along with its partners, plant one million trees annually throughout the countries in which it operates.Category: Member News
