The judges say that this wine fulfils one of the goals of this selection as well as the independent wine market – to discover surprising wines that exceed expectations- and that although little have heard about this wine and about the region, they were strongly impressed by its quality, and more importantly by its value.
The main criteria for selection are wine quality and character, but always correlated with their potential for selling on the challenging British market. All 21 judges are representatives of specialised wine shops in the UK, and many of them are wine experts and professional wine assessors.
“Kratoshia” is the only wine from our wider region that is among the winners of this selection, which was reported to include 700 wines from famous wine regions such as France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, Greece, Australia, Chile, Argentina , Germany, New Zealand, South Africa and the United States. Only wines that are sold in independent specialised wine shops on the territory of the United Kingdom are eligible to participate in this selection. Read more…Category: Member News
