Vitaminka supports the project “Macedonia without waste – Food Surplus Redistribution Network” by donating its food surplus. By the signing a Memorandum of collaboration between Vitaminka and the Association for clean environment “Ajde Makedonija”, the entire food that is safe for consuming, and is surplus in the company production, will be distributed to associations and activists that will further deliver the food to people in social risk. The donated food is of good quality, with retained nutritive characteristics and first of all safe for consuming according to the existing regulative for food safety in Macedonia.
The aim of the project and the signed Memorandum is, through mutual collaboration, understanding and assistance, to enable successful implementation of the system for surplus food donating. Vitaminka will deliver the food according to the transport standards and rules. In order to enable, a better and more effective implementation of the planned activities, “Ajde Makedonija” has created and maintained a web-platform intended for connecting Vitaminka with civil organizations which will further distribute the food to their end-users.
The project introduces a system for advanced and effective procedure for connecting the surplus food donors – companies and producers and civil organizations that provide food to their services users. The created chain of collaboration, responsibilities and communication, will lead to reduction of undernourishment in the country, reduction of lack of food and rational food redistribution. Such a system has shown good results worldwide where it is used and inspires other companies to be included in the initiative.Category: Member News
