Briefing with the Director of the Customs Administration on  Authorized Economic Operators  October 12, 2018

On October 9, in cooperation with the Customs Administration, the American Chamber of Commerce in Macedonia organised an informative session where more than 20 member companies attended. The members had an opportunity to discuss with the Director of the Customs Administration Gjoko Tanasoski about the newly-introduced status of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) as a new trend in customs operations, challenges, experiences and simplification of customs operations. Mr. Tanasoski explained the concept of  Authorized Economic Operator focusing on the criteria laid down in the Customs Law and the procedure for becoming an “Authorized Economic Operator” registered in the customs area of the Republic of Macedonia, as well as the benefits from facilitation in terms of safety and security related to customs controls and / or simplifications laid down by the customs related regulations.
