On December 28, OKTA donated a digital speech therapy set to the Institute for Mental Health of Children and Youth “Mladost” in Skopje. Through this initiative, the company continued its practice to re-allocate the funds planed for corporate gifts for the business partners into donations. In this way, OKTA provides better operational conditions in the institutions that take care for the most vulnerable categories. This has been a practice for four consecutive years and it has become part of the company’s New Year festive tradition.
The fund was used for purchase of a digital speech therapy set – a highly sophisticated instrument for sound signal processing. The speech therapy set is suitable for treatment of different type of speech impediments, as well as for rehabilitation of speech and hearing problems for respective children. This will contribute to improving the quality of the speech therapies in the Institute and at the same time increase their annual number of treated patients.
On this occasion, the donated equipment was presented to the employees in the premises of the Institute which marks its 60th anniversary this year. Besides OKTA representatives, Dr. Zlate Mehmedovic, director of PHI “Zdravstven dom” – Skopje, the economic director Besim Koca, and the manager of the Institute, Dr. Lidija Trpeska Poposka, were also present at this event. They expressed their sincere gratitude on the behalf of the entire personnel and the youngest patients who will be direct beneficiaries of this donation. They highlighted that this donation will improve the quality of the health services and the treatments in the Institute.
