Eliminating Eight Wastes Seminar April 3, 2019

On April 3, AmCham in cooperation with our member Link Across, brought the renowned USA expert, Mark D. Loewen, who talked about eliminating the 8 wastes that prevent companies from providing value to their customers. Every process, whether in production, service, or administration, can be prone to wasteful operations that decrease value or negatively impact customer satisfaction. This seminar discussed practices originated in “lean manufacturing” that help to identify and eliminate waste. The seminar helped the participants to classify each of the areas of potential waste: Transportation, Inventory, Motion, Waiting, Overproduction, Over-processing, Defects, and Skills. It also provided them with practical solutions to finding and reducing waste in the service or manufacturing process.
